Presentata al Salone di Torino del 1962, le consegne ai clienti finali iniziarono nel 1963; la carrozzeria \u00c3\u00a8 stata realizzata dalla ZAGATO (TZ sta per Tubolare Zagato) con meccanica interamente ALFA ROMEO.
